Minnesota construction and real estate entrepreneur, Amit Sela is the co-founder and co-owner of Sela Roofing and Remodeling Company, one of the largest and most successful residential and commercial reconstruction companies in Minnesota. He is also the founder and co-owner of other successful Twin Cities companies, including Sela Investments LLP, a highly successful property investment and apartment management company in the Minneapolis/St.Paul area that manages and leases attractive, well-maintained residential properties in highly desirable locations of the Twin Cities area.

Personal History and Career Development

Amit Sela was born in Israel in 1957 and grew up in Ramat Ha Sharon, near Tel Aviv. He served three years in the Israeli Paratroopers, an elite division of the Israeli Defense Forces. Later, his drive, strength of character, leadership capabilities and communications skills, acquired in part through his military experience, became pivotal to his success in business.

After completing military service, he emigrated in the 1970s to the U.S., eventually residing in Minnesota, where he married and started a family. Early in his career, he worked for local contractors and builders in the Twin Cities’ home construction and renovation industry. A quick learner and sharp observer, he translated his experience in construction and real estate to join with his brother Paz Sela to launch their own businesses from scratch—Sela Roofing and Remodeling and Sela Investments.
